I just finished A Plague Tale: Innocence. I’m giving it a 7 out of ten. It was good, but not great. I played it with the free PS5 upgrade, and the graphics were beautiful. I loved the 1300’s European setting. The gameplay reminded me of The Last of Us, but wasn’t nearly as deep or varied. There are a lot of sneaking-around-type puzzles, but the gameplay is pretty limited as far as combat goes. The story setting was unique, but I think it went a bit far towards the end with the “rat powers” you get. It contrasted too much with the rest of the game’s more realistic depiction of the setting. I enjoyed my time with A Plague Tale: Innocence, but it doesn’t hold a candle to something like Last of Us.
