Elden Ring -PS5- 10

Just shy of 140 hours later...I have beaten Elden Ring. I think there are multiple endings, and I haven’t tried beating the optional Malenia boss yet, but I’m done with the game for now. I’ve beaten all the other optional bosses I could find and explored most of the world. This game was enormous. It is the second longest game I’ve ever beaten. (Shining Force III scenario saga took me 175 hours.) The final boss of this game must have taken me two or three hundred attempts, and LOTS of level grinding. I tried looking to YouTube for tips, but it only helped a little bit. You just have to get good. Anyway, so what’s my review of the game overall? 10 out of ten, all the way. This is From Software’s magnum opus. The open world design takes the genre to a new level. The beautiful landscape is staggering, and it feels like you will never run out of new things to discover. The boss battles are epic. At first, the game felt a little easy for a veteran like me. But the last quarter of the game gets MUCH harder...like Nioh-level hard, if not harder! Anyways, this game is not to be missed. It takes a lot of inspiration from Breath of the Wild and combines it flawlessly with the Dark Souls gameplay. This is one of the greatest games of all time.
