Eschatos -Xbox360- 9

Today I beat Eschatos for xbox360, on easy mode, after unlocking extra continues. It’s a challenging game, but just like Radiant Silvergun on Saturn, the console port saves how many times you’ve attempted the game, and unlocks extra options the more you play. So anyone can beat them within a short amount of practice. Eventually I’ll try beating it on harder settings. So what did I think of Eschatos? I thought it was wonderful. I know it came out in 2010, long after 2-D style shmups were ever popular. So it feels very old-school, even for 2010. However, the gameplay is so polished, and the action gets so intense…and my god…that soundtrack. They use chip tunes, and it’s one of the best shump soundtracks ever. For fans of shmups, you know how epic their soundtracks can be. The music tracks in these games are incredible and fill you with nostalgia. And Eschatos’ soundtrack excels in this area, right with the best of them. I would rate this game a 9 for how purely fun it is, how intense and addicting it is, and how brilliant the soundtrack is.
