Golden Sun: The Lost Age -GBA- 8

I have finally finished Golden Sun: The Lost Age! I used a guide, and it still took 30 hours. I beat the first Golden Sun a couple months ago, and the Lost Age was about the same quality, maybe slightly better. Just like the first one, the overall plot and characters are just okay/good, but never quite great. Fortunately, the dialogue and cutscenes are relatively brief. The real meat and potatoes of this rpg is the giant dungeons, the fast paced battle system, and the shear amount of places you can explore for better gear. The dungeons and some of the magic mechanics to unlock new areas reminded me more of a Zelda game. Quite brilliant at times, actually. And the vast areas to explore on the world map, while discovering new equipment reminded me of Skies of Arcadia. Overall, it was the adventure elements of the game that rose it to very good/great status. I would rate both games at least an 8. I still have some more to explore. This was a very large game.
