Rayman 2 -Dreamcast- 9

I just knocked out Rayman 2: The Great Escape for Dreamcast. This game was absolutely gorgeous. Wonderful platformer and one of the best games of the year it was released (came out in late 1999 on n64, and then early 2000 on Dreamcast). Like a lot of games made at the time, it can sometimes get a little frustrating with the camera and checkpoint spots, but this is classic stuff nonetheless. Unlike some other 3D adventure games of the early 2000’s, Rayman 2 does a great job of keeping a good sense of direction through the large levels, so you don’t get lost too often. I’m giving this easily a 9 out of ten. It’s just a beautiful, joyful experience. One of the very best games on the Dreamcast. I’m glad to finally play and beat after hearing how great it was 22 years ago.
