Thunderforce III -Genesis- 9.5

Last year I ran through this awesome game on the genesis mini with save states. But today, I beat it legit on the actual genesis, with only one day of practice. I used to think this game looked really hard, but maybe I just got better at videogames after beating Battletoads and TMNT over a year ago? Anyway, this game is brilliant. 9.5 out of ten. The soundtrack is phenomenal. The lava stage has my favorite track, but all the other levels have great music, too. This is up there with Musha as having the best music on the genesis. I’ve only played a little of Thunderforce 4 (lightening force), but it does not seem as good as Thunderforce 3. The soundtrack in 3 definitely smokes the music in 4. Anyway, this is another hard game beaten legit, and put back on the shelf. On to the next game...
