TMNT: Shredder’s Revenge -PS4- 7

I got Shredder’s Revenge from Limited Run a couple weeks ago and just beat it right now. Half the time, I was playing alone, and the other half I had either my wife as a second player or someone else online. I did not get to see six players at once. (I guess I’m playing the game after the hype has already died down.) As is, I still had fun. I will say the game is very much on the easy side, and I played on medium difficulty. Bosses die very quickly. This game has a LOT of fan service, which is cool for someone who grew up with the cartoon show like myself. The music and animation are really well done. This is a 2D beat ‘em up, so there’s nothing revolutionary here. It’s not nearly as great as Turtles in Time was in the early 1990’s. I’m going to be strict and give Shredder’s Revenge a 7 out of ten. It’s good, but I would not call it great. Also, it’s a little too easy to quickly taunt and activate specials. I heard Ian on the CUPodcast say that when the game first came out, and I have to agree. It probably gets even more obvious with six players.
