Infamous-PS3- 7

I just beat Infamous for ps3. I got this super cheap last year and finally got around to playing it this week. This game came out in 2009 and definitely shows its age. It borrows a lot from the gta3 open world formula and mission structure. But i do see a lot of other ideas that were further developed in the ps4 Spiderman (the combat, zipping across buildings, and city layout). The plot was interesting, but I found the lead character Cole a little boring. There is a neat twist about him at the end, but his look, personality, and voice actor throughout the game just felt like a regular guy. I completed some of the side missions, but not all. I don’t feel a desire to do more of them. The main missions were enough, but I do wish I saw more development with some of the supporting characters. Maybe there’s more in the sequel? I do know there are different paths you can take whether you play good or evil (I mostly chose good the whole time), so there is replay value here if I ever want to come back to it. Oh, and the super powers you get with the lightning are cool, and the parkour and climbing buildings feels very good for an old ps3 game. I liked the game overall, but didn’t love it. And I do have to give the game props for paving the way for the much better Spiderman on ps4. I’m giving Infamous a 7 out of ten.
